The purpose of the Questionnaire Master Folder is to store questionnaires (scripts) which can then be specified for use by Projects and their attached collection modules.
The Command Center (Web application) does not have a command for creating questionnaires in the master folder, nor does it include the editor for creating and editing questionnaire scripts. This job is performed by Voxco`s Questionnaire (script) Designer, known as Design. It is a Windows application, installed on a local workstation, which creates and edits .QUE files. Design is also equipped with tools to create questionnaires on the Command Center server, and to upload a .QUE file to an existing questionnaire, this process is known as `updating` a questionnaire on the server. To enable you to edit a questionnaire which is installed on the server, Design also allows you download a questionnaire to a .QUE file. For details on updating and downloading questionnaires, see the Questionnaire Manager.
The screen-shot below shows a list of questionnaires belonging to a folder titled Demo within the Questionnaires master folder. The questionnaire titled DS01 is currently selected:

Description |
Translate |
Allows you to edit the labels (message, long label, short label, choice labels) of any question in the questionnaire in any of its languages. The left-hand pane displays the labels in the source language (user-selectable). The right-hand pane displays the labels in another user-selectable language. You can edit the labels in the right-hand pane. You can also edit the text in custom screens in the questionnaire, and the error messages in your chosen language: Note: Once you have finished an editing session, you must then Commit or Discard your edits in order for the questionnaire to be updated. See below. |
Pending changes are modifications that have been made to a questionnaire without using Design (the Questionnaire Designer). There are two situations where this can occur:
The questionnaire itself will remain unchanged unless these changes are "Committed". The Pending Changes tab lists all the modification that have been made. The Commit and Discard buttons allow you to implement or discard these changes respectively. |
