Overview - WebSpaces

A WebSpace is a location on an Interviewer Web server where a survey is deployed. CATI and CAWI collection modules must have a WebSpace specified. Licencing is applied at a WebSpace level, drawing on the licences installed at the Web Server level.

WebSpaces are created, edited and deleted within the WebSpaces Master Folder:

Licenses

WebSpace licenses are Web Server licences which are allocated to the WebSpace by an administrator. See the WebSpace Settings . These licenses can be assigned to individual projects by users that have rights to the group in which the project is installed.

Note: Project managers need to be aware that there is control over a project's maximum number of simultaneous interviewing sessions. These can be set on a project-by-project basis and the licenses set for a single project may be set up to the maximum number of WebSpace licenses.

Similarly, the number of WebSpace licences may be set up to the maximum number of licences installed on its parent web server. If the sum of the licences individually set for a number of projects exceeds the WebSpace maximum, these projects might compete with each other for an interviewing license.
