A procedure is a block of questions which is accessed by a skip or hot key (button) (see To create a procedure). When the last question in a procedure is completed, the flow returns to the location at which the first procedure was called. You can choose whether the flow returns to the original question or to the question immediately following it. Procedures can only be accessed by means of a skip or hot key (button); they should be placed after the INT question.
Some uses of procedures:
Procedures accessed through hot keys (buttons) are useful for help screens or summary screens.
Procedures accessed through skips are useful for setting-up menu driven questionnaires or questionnaires with a non-linear flow (star structures).
Procedures which return to the following question are useful for calculations involving several questions which are repeated at different places in the questionnaire.
