The icons of all items in the Navigation Tree are prefixed with one of three state icons:
|
State |
Description |
|
Active |
When a project is active it is running. Resources attached to the project such as Users (by means of User aliases ) must be also be active, as well as the referenced source User or User List, if the project is to be accessible.. Similarly, Workstations must also be active in order to be accessible, and Schedules have to be active to affect the states of projects assigned to them. When a folder is active, there may be items within it that are in a stopped state. Note: When activating a folder, a dialog box gives you the option of also activating all of the sub-items which it contains. |
Stopped |
When an item such as a Module, User or Workstation is stopped, it is not available for any project. When a Folder is stopped, all items within it are stopped, and agents will not be able to log in and access any of them. Note: When stopping a folder, a dialog box warns you that all items that it contains will be stopped. When a Schedule is stopped, the state of the Projects assigned to it will not be altered by the schedule. |
|
Paused |
Collection and Pronto Telephony modules may also be Paused. See the table below for a description of the difference between stopping or pausing a module. |
When items are added to the Navigation tree, they are in the stopped state by default. This is necessary since certain fields must first be configured before the project can be activated. Folders, Lists and list items, on the other hand, are active by default when added.
Note: The Command Center may need some time while agents finish their sessions in order to Stop the project. A project can only be stopped when all of the agents have finished their sessions and are logged out of the project
When stopping a Folder or List, all of its groups, lists and items will be stopped. When activating a Folder, you are given the choice of activating just the group itself, or all of its contents as well.
To Activate, Stop or Pause an item
Navigate to, and select the item in the Navigation Tree or the Folder View Navigation bar.
Click on the Activate, Stop or Pause button for that Folder or item.
